God is good. While we meet many needs of our community, we can’t meet them all. God in His wisdom has sent us talented people to walk alongside with us in our mission. We would like to introduce those to you.

Ministry Partners

The Ohio State University Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program

legacies-logo-reverseThanks to this Ohio State University program, students in our after school program (Set on Success), learn about healthy living.

Summit Education Initiative

Summit Education Initiative helps us bridge a gap between schools and after-school educational assistance, by providing access to data (students grades, attendance, and test scores) so that we can better help our students.

Summit Metro Parks

While the Summit Metro Parks is a gem in our community with its beautiful parks and trails, they are more than that. Our kids look eagerly look forward to the on-site nature training, learning about the environment and our community.


Akron-Canton Food Bank

legacies-logo-reverseUrban Vision participates in the Akron-Canton Food Bank’s hunger-relief program, providing meals to the after-school program (Set on Success).

Akron Summit County Library

Akron Summit County Library has stepped into Urban Vision and helped us fill a void, teaching computer skills such as Word, Powerpoint and Excel, as well as story time with our preschool students (On Your Mark).

Junior Achievement

The number one talked about topic in scripture is finances and Junior Achievement helps provide curriculum for our financial literacy class. The goal is to teach students much-needed financial readiness skills as well as understand God better.


Kent State Wick Poetry Center

legacies-logo-reverseDavid, Solomon, and others wrote great expressions of their feelings and emotions in scripture. Kent State Wick Poetry Center leads a class for our students on how to write poetry and express their emotions and feelings in a healthy way. 

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy

CVCA is focused on cultivating servant leaders for Christ and support many of our initiatives, including food for Kids’ Club and class donations for our Dignity Stores.


Neighborhood Partners

North Side Open Door Church

ChurchNorth Side Open Door Church was founded in 2015. Lead by Senior Pastor Jeff Smith, the church is focused on being a welcoming place to learn and grow in Christ. Their ministry goes beyond walls and into the heart of the North Hill community.


Legacies of Success

legacies-logo-reverseThe mission of Legacies of Success is to revitalize and stabilize the North Hill community by identifying homes eligible for rehabilitation, providing repairs and then renting the homes to qualified residents.

Akron Peacemakers

Sponsored by the Akron Mayor’s Office of Community Relations, the PeaceMakers is an anti-crime/youth civic program designed to facilitate Akron’s youth about their government, community organization, and police.
