Celebrating the End of SOS

We are always filled with excitement at the beginning of each school year. The kids are excited to return and we’re excited to see them. And when the Set on Success program starts in September, the winter months seem so long and May seems so far away.

Fast forward and in the blink of an eye, it’s the end of the school year and we’re rushing around, doing end-of-the-year-type things, like collecting and analyzing third-quarter report cards. The warmer, longer days mean more outdoor time and more reminders to stay focused. Then…it’s over until September.

On Wednesday we celebrated this year’s accomplishments of our students, the hard work and dedication of our volunteers and the supportive partnership we have with our parents.

While we enjoy seeing our kids excel academically, we also celebrate their spiritual growth by recognizing students with character awards.

After successfully completing a rigorous set of physical tests, some of our students received Presidential Fitness Awards.

Thanks to Bob and Cathy Mellen, the Bible Quiz team finished in third-place in Division B. And, one quizzer finished 5th individually. Way to go!

And what’s an SOS Awards Ceremony without a performance? Or two?

It’s been an eventful and joyous school year. Thank you to everyone who supported us and walked alongside us as we ministered to the students. We appreciate each and every one of you.
