How to Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Urban Vision! We are grateful for your willingness to serve the North Hill community. We are a holistic ministry focused on building a vibrant, unified community through the love and hope of Christ Jesus. As such we believe God has given you a gift and we desire to see you using that gift as you serve here.

We have countless opportunities to serve from building maintenance to leading a team of energetic kids as they learn God’s Word in Kids club. Don’t have the kind of schedule to make it every week? No problem! We have opportunities of varying time commitments from one time events to weekly responsibilities.

If you want to serve at Urban Vision in any capacity, please contact Regina Lewis, our Volunteer Coordinator, to figure out how you can best serve at Urban Vision.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I’ve never volunteered before and I’m not sure how I can serve. Is there still a place for me?

A. We believe there is a place for everyone in God’s Kingdom to serve. Let’s sit down and chat about what’s on your heart. You might be surprised by what we discover!

Q. My teenager needs to complete service hours. Can they volunteer at Urban Vision?

A. We’d love to have teenagers serve in some way. For ongoing opportunities, such as Kids Club and Set on Success, a volunteer application and background check need to be on file before volunteering.

Q. My group would like to complete a service day. Is that possible?

A. We welcome groups! There are a few things we can do to maximize your impact and for your group to get the most of the experience.

Youth group leaders should make an appointment with our volunteer coordinator, Regina Lewis, before the service day. In addition to a tour of our building and an overview of the ministry, we’ll sit down and develop a plan for the service day. We ask that youth groups have at least three (3) adults for every child signed up to serve.
