Urban Vision Founder Returns to  Moody Radio

Cleveland, OH—  On the heels of the Christian Community Development Association conference in Detroit, Urban Vision founder, Jodi Matthews, along with Clorinda Tucker, spoke on the subject of diversity during the Brian and Kathleen segment of Moody Radio Cleveland.

 

Urban Vision Directors have been asked to guest speak on Moody Radio’s Brian and Kathleen Morning Show.

Urban Vision Executive Director Selected for Leadership Akron’s 2017-2018 Signature Program

Akron, OH—  Urban Vision’s Executive Director, Rodney Matthews, has been selected for Leadership Akron’s 2017-2018 Signature Program, Class 34.

Rodney is one of thirty-six community leaders taking part in the program, which includes site visits, seminars, and connections with business leaders to discuss important issues affecting Akron. Each month, members will spend a day focusing on an issue that impacts the city, including health care, education, justice and social services.

Rodney Matthews, Urban Vision’s Executive Director, said, “I am honored to have been chosen to be a part of such an important group of Akron change makers.”

Urban Vision Honored with 2017 Huntington-Akron Foundation Award

Akron, OH—  Urban Vision has been selected received the 2017 Huntington-Akron Foundation Award, honoring its legacy and achievements in holistic ministry to the people of their North Hill neighborhood of Akron.

Urban Vision received the award at a private Huntington-Akron Foundation Award Reception on Tuesday, August 1, at Firestone Country Club, amidst preparation for the Bridgestone Invitational. Founders Rodney and Jodi Matthews accepted the award from Huntington-Akron President Nicholas Browning, together with several Urban Vision staff members, board members, and interns. A $15,000 grant from The Huntington-Akron Foundation also accompanied this award.

Rodney Matthews, Urban Vision’s Executive Director, said, “We are humbled by the recognition of the work we do in the North Hill community to meet the needs of the people with dignity.”
