Set on Success (S.O.S.)
How You Can Make a Difference: Empower K-12th grade students to set their life on success by helping with reading, math, homework, gym activities, life skill training, and more!
When: Mondays through Thursdays, 2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., meeting and training once a semester
Requirements: Volunteers must be in 9th grade or above; weekly commitment of 1-4 days required
On Your Mark
How You Can Make a Difference: Prepare 3-5 year-olds for kindergarten and beyond by leading centers and preparing activities.
When: Mondays through Fridays 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Requirements: Volunteers must be 18 or older; weekly commitment of 1-4 days required, preschool age experience preferred
Help with Urban Vision’s Facility
How You Can Make a Difference: Help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at Urban Vision by helping with maintenance (electrical, plumbing, etc.), remodeling (painting, dry-walling, etc.), cleaning (vacuuming, dusting, etc.), and landscaping (weeding, raking, etc.).
When: Days and times are flexible
Requirements: Volunteers must be 18 or older (unless supervision is provided)
How You Can Make a Difference: Serve behind the scenes by helping with various administrative projects such as stuffing envelopes and data entry.
When: Weekdays 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Requirements: Volunteers must be in 9th grade or above; time commitment dependent on project
