At Urban Vision we often emphasize the importance of the Urban Vision family, and for good reason. Without the family’s many members, our ministry would not be nearly as impactful as it is. Yet this need for community does not come as a surprise because we know that the Bible says:
“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil” Ecclesiastes 4:9.
Who’s in the Family?
The Urban Vision family is as diverse as the neighborhood it serves. Anyone who shares our vision to build a vibrant unified North Hill Community transformed through the hope and love of Jesus Christ, can join! So, let’s take a look at a few of the key groups who selflessly serve our community with love like Christ’s.
Students
Our students are not only the heart and soul of our programs, but also some of our most eager leaders. We believe that everyone can be a leader regardless of their age and each of our students truly take that to heart. Every year our Servant Leadership Team spends thousands of hours showing our neighborhood Christ’s love through acts of service. However, it isn’t just our older students who step up, even our younger Set on Success members find ways to make a difference. Whether they are inviting one of their friends to an outreach event like Kids’ Club or running for class president our students are always excited to be a part of Urban Vision’s mission.
Volunteers
The volunteer base of the Urban Vision Family is comprised of extremely talented and committed individuals who desire to help transform our neighborhood with Christ’s love. Some volunteers have spent decades working with our students and their families and their selfless impact truly shows. However, longevity is not the only way to transform North Hill with Christ’s love, from Prayer Warriors to Board Members and Maintenance Day Workers to Program Helpers our volunteers continue to show us the power of community and the Gospel.
Staff
While we all live in the community, only a handful of us started here. The Urban Vision Staff is made of a diverse collection of Christ Followers from all over the world! The many backgrounds, skills, and cultures that make up our staff team show how unifying the Gospel truly is.
Supporters
For every on-site Family Member there are several behind the scenes making sure our ministry has what it needs. Generous donors ensure that we can achieve our goals and fully serve our community. While earnest advocates spread the word about what we are doing and encourage others to join our ever-growing family.

We are so thankful for each individual that makes up the Urban Vision Family. Their constant work, support, and contributions have allowed us to impact our neighborhood and even become the largest single site after-school program in Summit County!
