Nancy Croley

Urban Vision is thrilled to recognize Nancy Croley as a recipient of this year’s Co‑Laborers in Christ Award. For years, Ms. Nancy has been a beloved presence in our programs—so beloved, in fact, that her very name became synonymous with joy, celebration, and the kind of warm welcome every child hopes to receive when they walk through our doors.

It’s not often that a class or a day becomes known by one person, but that’s exactly what happened with Nancy. Whenever the big candy bars were handed out, students would instantly light up and say, “Oh yeah, it’s Ms. Nancy day!” And despite the official name of the class being Music and Motion, no student ever called it that. Week after week, they simply said, “I’m going to Ms. Nancy.” To them, she was the class—its energy, its joy, and its heartbeat.

Nancy’s great smile, her gentle presence, and her infectious generosity made Urban Vision a better place every time she stepped into the building. She didn’t just teach songs or lead activities; she created an atmosphere where kids felt seen, valued, and delighted in. Her ability to make each child feel special is a gift few possess, and it transformed ordinary days into memorable moments.

Students adored her not because she tried to be the center of attention, but because she consistently placed them at the center of her attention. She listened deeply, loved freely, and gave generously. Whether through music, encouragement, or—yes—the occasional candy bar, Ms. Nancy poured joy into our community in ways that will be remembered for years to come.

She embodies the heart of Urban Vision: showing Christ’s love in ways that are genuine, joyful, and deeply relational. Her presence has been a blessing not just to the children she taught, but to every staff member and volunteer who has had the privilege of serving alongside her.

Today, we honor Ms. Nancy Croley for her unwavering kindness, her radiant joy, and the countless ways she has made Urban Vision feel like home. She is, without question, a true Co‑Laborer in Christ, and we are grateful beyond measure for her faithful service.
