Hello, my name is Eh Dah Htoo.
My family immigrated to the United States in 2007 from Thailand to provide a better life for me and my siblings. My parents have demonstrated their unwavering faith for Christ throughout their lives. They made a constant effort to build up their belief in us. I’ve always been aware of God, Jesus, and what He has accomplished for us.
I moved to Akron in 2023, after getting married to Nidoh, a former student and employee of Urban Vision. There are so many cultures to learn from here in North Hill, and I enjoy working in my community. I had the opportunity to start working with kids at Urban Vision in the summer of 2024. I was anxious about teaching children because I had no experience and was concerned about making mistakes. But now, I enjoy working with children, being a part of their lives, and helping them.
Every student teaches me something new, and I am incredibly proud of them. It’s really rewarding to see a kid improve and be able to accomplish things on their own. I’m honored to be a part of Urban Vision. Helping people in the community and giving back is one of my passions.
