Tim Lenes

Hi, my name is Tim Lenes, and in the winter of 2022, I graduated from Grove City College with a major in marketing and a minor in Biblical and religious studies.

I was raised by Christian parents and came to know the Lord through Sunday School Classes as a child. As I grew, I spent most of my high school and college years working for or participating in numerous different ministries. My experience taught me that there is more to Christ’s mission than just sermons and youth group retreats and that many ministries often have a difficult time finding workers who are both business savvy and kingdom driven. As a result, it was my desire to gain experience as a student and worker of the professional world and then bring that experience to a ministry to help them grow.

After I graduated college, I moved to Stow, Ohio and began working as a marketing and sales specialist. I also started attending Redemption Chapel where I met my wife, Kat. The two of us got married in October of 2023 and began talking about potential changes in employment. At the time, I was commuting an hour to my job in Chardon and as we looked forward to starting a family, we decided that this commute would cause me to be more disconnected from my family and our community than we desired. It wasn’t until the summer of 2024, however, that I really started to feel the Lord call me elsewhere.

In August of 2024, I received a text from my sister-in-law (Lizzy Gray) telling me that the ministry herself and husband were volunteering at was looking to fill their marketing coordinator position. This news excited me as I knew one day I wanted to work for a ministry; I just wasn’t expecting to do so only three years after graduating college. However, the more my wife and I learned about Urban Vision, the more we knew this was where the Lord wanted us. The sense of belonging and community inherent to Urban Vision’s mission was exactly the environment we were hoping to raise our family in. The cherry on top was my sister-in-law found a job for herself in the ministry as well so we would be close to both our spiritual and literal family.

In July of 2025, my wife and I grew our family through the birth of our son Cyrus and are so excited for him to join this community of believers looking to build a vibrant, unified North Hill community, transformed through the love and hope of Jesus Christ.
